Born Paula Hernandez on September 14, 1948 Lumberton, NC to the late Frank A. and Pattie Lou Hernandez (nee Bell) and was a resident of Maryland for most of her life.  She was a graduate of Glen Burnie High School and she had a diversified career path which included working as an Executive Administrative Assistant for several companies for over 40 years. She also worked selling insurance, as a waitress at a truck stop, she worked at the Good Shepherd Center and as a Comfort Aide with Comfort Keepers and Heart to Heart as well as her job as a Security Agent with the TSA. Paula was a member of Pathway Church of God in Brooklyn and a past member of Saddletree Church of God as well as several other churches. She lived in Glen Burnie until the passing of her beloved husband John A.H. Andrews at which time she moved to Erlanger, KY to be near her son. She eventually returned to Lumberton, NC until health problems forced her to return to Glen Burnie so that her sisters could help care for her. In addition to her parents and her husband, Paula is preceded in death by her aunt Christean McCormick and nephew Ronald E. Hood. Left to cherish her memory are sisters Angelia Alvarenga (Antonio) and Joan Holston of Glen Burnie, brothers Frank Albert (Anna) and Samuel Hernandez of Baltimore and Timothy (Marla) and Richard Hernandez of Olympia, WA, son Michael Patrick Murphy (Karen) of Erlanger, KY, granddaughter Shelby Withers of Erlanger, KY as well as aunt Hattie M. Barnes and uncle Henry "Buck" Bell (Shirley) both of Lumberton, NC. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews and church friends.  She passed away peacefully at Glen Burnie Health and Rehabilitation Center. Her family will celebrate her life privately and she will be inurned with her husband in Crownsville MD Vet. Cemetery.
