Peter Eric Thomas Longley passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, October 17, 2020. He was born in Bedford, Massachusetts on April 19, 1973 to Ardis Edith (Chase) Longley and the late Thomas Madden. Peter graduated from Peru Central High School where he excelled at sports. He was known as "Pistol" Pete when he took the mound for his excellent pitching ability. He was also a member of the varsity football team. Peter relocated to Glen Burnie in 1996 from Plattsburgh, New York. He worked many years in retail management and recently started a career as a Real Estate Sales Agent with Century 21.
All those that met or knew Pete will tell you he was the happiest, nicest person they have ever met and that he could light up the room with his positivity. He was a lover of sports, particularly the Philadelphia Eagles and with his competitive spirit, if there was sports, Pete was ready to play whether it be cornhole or volleyball. His love of sports was passed on to his two sons and spending time with them meant everything to him. He also loved to travel with his Fiancée to the islands and considered Aruba his favorite.
Pete is survived by his mother Ardis Edith (Chase) Longley, his two sons, Max and Jackson, his loving Fiancée, Danielle Cook and his siblings, Brian Longley, Craig Longley, Carmen Fields, Laura Archilles, Karen Buckman and the late Sue Ann Lipsett.
Family and friends may gather Thursday, October 22, 2020, 3:00 pm - 4:30 pm. Funeral service to follow immediately at 4:30 pm. Interment private.
