Philip L. Meckel

Philip L. Meckel passed away peacefully at his home in Baltimore, Maryland on August 19, 2020. He is preceded in death by his father and mother Edward and Arlene Meckel. He is survived by his loving wife Phyllis J. (Mosner) Meckel, his daughter Kimberlee I. Meckel, his son and daughter-in-law Philip E. Meckel and Courtney Meckel, his grand-daughter KayLee E. Meckel of Baltimore, his brother and sisters Roman Meckel of Sykesville, Iris (Meckel) Perricone of Westminster, and Karen Meckel of Wyoming.

Phil was known as “Cross Street Phil” and “Mac” by those who had the privilege to call him a friend. He enjoyed fishing, smoking cigars with his buddies, singing the occasional karaoke song and he was always at the ready with dad jokes. He is a man who will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him.

Friends may call on the family Tuesday, August 25, 2020, from 3 – 5 & 7 - 9 PM at the family-owned Kirkley-Ruddick Funeral Home, 421 Crain Hwy . S.E., Glen Burnie, MD 21061 . Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, August 26, 2020, at 11am at Holy Cross Church, 110 E. West St., Baltimore, MD 21230 . Interment at 1pm at Holy Cross Cemetery, 6020 Ritchie Hwy, Baltimore, MD 21225 . And a Celebration of Life to follow at Ferndale Volunteer Fire Hall, 4 S Broadview Blvd S, Glen Burnie, MD 21061 from 1:30-4:30pm .
