Mr. Philip F. Scharf was born on October 5, 1942 to the late Robert and Anne Scharf in Baltimore. After serving in the U.S. Navy, Philip worked as a carpenter. His hobbies included woodworking, carpentry, boating, crabbing, fishing and coaching little league team. Philip was an active member of the American Legion, Indian Guides, on the church council and property committee, and Deacon of the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer. Philip is survived by his wife of 54 yrs. Mary Scharf, his son Todd Scharf and his wife Kathleen, daughter Melanie Jacoby and her husband Don, grandchildren Todd Scharf, Jr, Jessica Scharf, Mark Jacoby, Allison Jacoby and Ty Jacoby, and great-grandchild Everly Scharf. Mr. Philip Scharf passed away peacefully at home with his family.
