Priscilla Edwards passed away at 80 on January 15th, 2022, after a lengthy and debilitating chronic illness she quietly faced with a fierce determination. She was surrounded by her family in the comfort of her home where she wanted to be.
Priscilla balanced an iron will with a quiet and unassuming demeanor. While she enjoyed a successful career, she defined her life through family and self-purpose. She deeply loved her children and grandchildren; they were her joy, and they each possess a part of her essence. Priscilla had an independent spirit, a modern approach to traditional conventions, and a brilliant dry sense of humor with an occasional side of mischievousness. She was a voracious reader, especially of science fiction, and she had an unassertive talent for no-holds-barred card and board games. Having a penchant for travelling, she visited many domestic and international destinations; she delighted in baking, imparting family traditions and know-how; and she relished crabs, crab cakes, crab imperial, and more crabs.
Priscilla was kind and welcoming to all, and she was always available as a compassionate supporter and listener. She profoundly and uniquely inspired many in her life. The beautiful influences and memories she shaped among her family and friends are eternal.
She is survived by her husband to whom she was affectionately married for 63 years, a sister, a daughter, son, and four grandchildren, and she was predeceased by her parents and two brothers.
A private Celebration of Life is planned for this summer. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that donations be made to the National Kidney Foundation in Priscilla’s honor here , and that consideration be given to being an organ donor.
Service and Interment are private for the immediate family only. A celebration of life will be announced in the future.
