Randy Rothamer

1960–2021

Randall Eugene Rothamer, a loving husband, father, brother, and friend to many, passed away on Tuesday, December 14, 2021, at the age of 61. He is survived by his wife, Donna (57); his daughters, Rosie (41), Melinda (29), Amanda (29), and Shalaya (19); granddaughter, Makiyla (21); 5 siblings, Judy, Victoria, Pam(ela), Ryan, and Melissa; and several nephews and nieces and loved ones.

Randy was born on May 25 th , 1960, to Eugene and Shirle Rothamer in Medford, Wisconsin where he lived through much of his adult life. Randall Rothamer married Donna Strebe in 1987 and they adopted all of their daughters. Randy wore many hats. He grew up as a farmer, built houses and specialty windows, and understood how to fix anything from electrical to engineering. He worked in maintenance for American Wood Fibers, starting in 2009. In 2012, Randy and his wife and daughters all moved to Maryland when he transferred roles from maintenance to operation manager, and later to maintenance manager.

The most important thing to Randy was family and he will be additionally missed by his numerous friends, colleagues, and neighbors who also knew him. He was a gifted man; he was generous, brilliant, hilariously funny, and there were so many reasons he was loved by all who knew him.

A celebration of life will be held for Randy on Sunday, January 2 , 2022, from 1 –4:30pm at the Kirkley-Ruddick Funeral Home located at 421 Crain Hwy SE, Glen Burnie, MD. Service to follow immediately at 4:30pm. Interment private. To express condolences, visit kirkleyruddickfuneralhome.com.
