Raymond Joseph Cohen, Sr.

Raymond Joseph Cohen was born June 15, 1940 in Baltimore, MD to Margaret Cohen (nee Williams) of Glen Burnie and the late Robert Cohen. Mr. Cohen worked as a Yard Master for the B&O Railroad (now CSX) for over 30 Years. A resident of Glen Burnie for 52 Years. Mr. Cohen was an avid sports fan. He enjoyed working as a referee, a umpire and as a coach in various sports. He coached the CCBC Catonsville Women's Softball Team for several years as well as Wagner's Softball Team. In addition to his father, Ray is preceeded in death by his brother Walter Cohen. He is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years Betty Jo Cohen (nee Lamoreaux) his devoted children Ray "Zep" Cohen of Abbottstown, PA and his wife Shirley, Beth Wingate of Glen Burnie, Michele Atkinson of Manchester and her husband Steve & Dawn Hoefler of Millersville and her husband David. In addition, Ray is survived by Sister Mary Hoffman of Glen Burnie, brothers Robert Cohen of Whitemarsh, Bernard Cohen of Glen Burnie and Donald Cohen of Belair as well a grandchildren Amanda and Dan Creasy, Katelyn and Ashley Cohen and Megan Wingate along with great-grandchildren Nathan and Joshua Creasy. He passed away suddenly at his home on July 7, 2015 and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
