Raymond J. “Zep” Cohen, Jr. passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family after a courageous battle with cancer on July 29, 2025.
He was born on January 4, 1964 in Baltimore, MD and lived most of his early life in Glen Burnie, MD and was a graduate of Glen Burnie High School. Zep and his family moved from the area to Stewartstown, PA in 1998 where his love for a more quiet pace of life blossomed. In his career he worked in the beverage industry, first for the Pepsi Cola Company and later as a production control planner for Keurig Dr. Pepper Company. He was an avid golfer who also enjoyed camping and watching sports of all kinds. In his childhood he was an outstanding soccer and lacrosse player. His greatest loves were spending time with family and friends and watching the Baltimore Ravens religiously every weekend during football season. He was preceded in death by his beloved mother Elizabeth Cohen and father Raymond Cohen Sr. Left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife of 36 years Shirley M. Cohen, daughter Dr. Katelyn Uribe and her husband Carlos Uribe of Baltimore, and daughter Ashley Weigman and her husband Chris Weigman of Prince Frederick, sisters Elizabeth Brammer and husband Steve of Felton, DE, Michele Atkinson and husband Steve of Manchester, and Dawn Hoefler and husband Dave of Millersville, as well as cherished grandchildren Emilia Uribe, Jackson Weigman, Diego Uribe, and Jayden Weigman and numerous other friends and family. His sense of humor was unmatched and he could always be counted on to bring joy and laughter to every space he entered. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Family and friends may call at the KIRKLEY RUDDICK FUNERAL HOME on Thursday, July 31, 2:00pm - 4:00pm and 6:00pm - 8:00pm. Service, August 1st, 12:00pm at the funeral home, interment immediately following at Glen Haven Memorial Park.
