Raymond J. Loeb

November 19, 1930 — February 11, 2017

Raymond J. Loeb was born in New York City on November 19, 1930 to the late I. Jesse Loeb and Viola Loeb.

A resident of Glen Burnie for the past 59 years, coming from Baltimore. Proudly Mr. Loeb served with the Marines during the Korean Conflict. He retired as a Radiologic Technologist at North Arundel Hospital in 1995 after more than 20 Years of service. He also worked part time at St. Agnes Hospital during this time. After his retirement Mr. Loeb became a clinical instructor of Radiologic Technology at Anne Arundel Community College for over 15 years. He was a member of the VFW and the American Society of Radiologic Technology. He enjoyed travel, camping, animals, he treasured time spent with family and friends. He learned his craft at The Johns Hopkins Hospital and completed his training in 1954.  Mr. Loeb volunteered with Partners in Care and Meals on Wheels. In addition to his parents Mr. Loeb is preceded in death by his beloved wife Mary I. Loeb (maiden name Schaum) and his sister Leona Moldoven. He is survived by Marie Cilemi, his loving partner and closest companion of the past 14 years and his children David P. Loeb of Ellicott City, MD and his wife Cheryl, Daniel M. Loeb of Glen Burnie and his wife Rhonda, Mary "Evy" Rainess of Mechanicsville, VA and her husband Mitchell, and Rachel L. Dhindsa of Mechanicsville, VA and her husband Harinder. Raymond is also survived by his sister Julie Dunard of Glen Burnie as well as 8 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.  He passed away peacefully at Baltimore Washington Medical Center after a brief illness and is now resting in the arms of Jesus, his Savior.
