Richard L. Ashley

Richard L. Ashley was born in Baltimore, MD on June 20, 1923 to the late Roland & Adeline Ashley (nee Backendorf). Mr. Ashley proudly served with the Army during WW II. He was a Truck Driver first for the Army, then for the federal government, retiring in 1982 after 41 years of service. A member of the DAV and Heritage Community Church. In his spare time he enjoyed Old Cars, House Painting, Animals, spending time with his children and grandchildren. Richard is described by his family as a "real patriot". He is survived by his wife of 65 Years, Kathryn Ashley (nee Greenawald) of Severn and his children Brian Ashley of Baltimore, Brenda Stoehr of Glen Burnie, Melody Ravert of Essex, & Ralph Listy of Mass. He is also survived by Brother Ronald Ashley, cherished grandchildren Angela Busick, Benjamin Ashley & Rebecca Nolan and Stephanie Ravert and loving great grandchild Alexander Nolan.
