Richard Nichalos Rawlings, Sr. passed away on December 18, 2012. He was born on July 18, 1932 in Baltimore and lived most of his life in Glen Burnie with his wife and son. He worked for Glenn L. Martin in Essex as an aircraft upholsterer and textile worker in the 1950?s and 60?s and for various clothing manufacturers in the Baltimore Metro area as a textile worker and clothes cutter for firms such as English American Tailoring and London Fog, Finally retiring in 1998 from Oakloom Clothes in Baltimore. He also worked for ten years in between as a salesman and manager in the auto sales industry for various Ford, Dodge and Chrysler dealers in the Baltimore Metro area. Mr. Rawlings also enjoyed giving back to the community by entertaining the elderly as a karaoke singer with his blend era of 1930?s to 1960?s popular music to the various assisted living facilities and senior centers in the northern Anne Arundel County area for close to ten years. Mr. Rawlings enjoyed listening and singing music, great food and wine, traveling, talking to people and learning about history through news and the weather. He is preceded in death by his wife, Agnes Marie Rawlings (nee Huber); his parents, Richard Rawlings and Elizabeth Smith (nee Norwood); his half-brother Charles J. Smith; and his sister Edna Ventura (nee Rawlings). Mr. Rawlings is survived by his son, Richard Nichalos Rawlings, Jr. and his wife Jennifer of Glen Burnie. Interment is private
