Rita S. Vollmerhausen, 80, a longtime Glen Burnie resident, died on June 17, 2026, under hospice care, surrounded by her family. Rita was born in Virginia, on August 5, 1946, to Henry J. and Addieleah J. (Hunt) Wright. She ran an Automotive Repair and Towing Company for several years, and was also a member of Moose Lodge #1756, where she gathered with friends. Rita enjoyed travelling, walking, and doing crafts, especially crocheting. Her family will greatly miss her.

Rita was preceded in death by her parents, Henry J. Wright, and Addieleah J. (Hunt) Wright. She is survived by her daughter, Lenora Marie Candia Jeffries of Glen Burnie, and her siblings: Joseph Wright of Pasadena, Hattie Bledsoe of North Carolina, and Dreama Wright of Essex.

Family and friends may visit at the KIRKLEY RUDDICK FUNERAL HOME on Wednesday, June 24th, 4pm - 8pm. Funeral service, Thursday, June 25th, 10am, at the funeral home. Interment Meadowridge Memorial Park.
