Obituary

In Loving Memory of Robert L. Deaton, Jr.

Robert Lee Deaton, Jr., 67, of Glen Burnie, Maryland, passed away peacefully on August 17, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.

Born on June 26, 1959, in Baltimore, Maryland, Robert was the son of the late Robert Sr. and Barbara Deaton. He graduated from Glen Burnie High School and devoted more than 35 years to a career in automotive repair, where he was known for his strong work ethic and willingness to help others.

Robert married the love of his life, Victoria Deaton, and together they built a home filled with faith, laughter, and unconditional love. He treasured every moment spent with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandson, and he was happiest whenever family gathered together.

Bob enjoyed cheering on his hometown Baltimore Ravens every Sunday, attending his grandchildren's sporting events, and spending Saturday mornings going to yard sales with Victoria. He was known for his generous heart, his loud but loving personality, and his readiness to lend a helping hand whenever family or friends needed him. Beneath his tough exterior was a man whose kindness, loyalty, and love left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him.

Bob was preceded in death by his loving daughter, Heather Deaton, and his parents, Robert Sr. and Barbara Deaton.

He is lovingly survived by his devoted wife, Victoria Deaton; his daughters, Sarah Brown and her husband, Al Brown; his son, Robert Deaton, III. and his wife Angela; seven cherished grandchildren; one great-grandson; his brothers, Bruce Deaton and Tim Deaton; his sister, Debbie Deaton; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will miss him deeply.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, August 20, 2026, from 2 pm - 5 pm, at Kirkley Ruddick Funeral Home in Glen Burnie, Maryland. A funeral service will follow immediately at 5 pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

Bob's memory will live on through the love he shared, the lessons he taught, and the countless lives he touched. Though he will be deeply missed, his legacy of kindness, devotion to family, and quiet generosity will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved him.
