Robert E. Gibson, Sr.

Robert E. Gibson, Sr. was born September 24, 1939 in Baltimore, MD to William M. and Margaret Gibson (nee Poehlmann) A resident of Glen Burnie for over 50 years, Mr. Gibson worked for many years as salesman for Nabisco, which gave him his nickname "the cookie man". An avid stamp collector he was a member of the German Phelatelic Society and the Baltimore Philatelic Society as well as being a member of the Baltimore Kickers. He also enjoyed travel, especially his trips to Germany. He was a former scout master when his son was younger. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his loving wife Dorothy Ann Gibson (nee Whay) who passed away in 2010. Mr. Gibson is survived by his son Robert E. Gibson, Jr. of Delaware, daughter Karen A. Marsh of Edgewater, grandchildren Jennifer Lynn McCafferty and Katie Lynn Shaw as well as great-grandchildren Emlyn L. and Dustin Shaw.
