Robert Edward Hook, Jr.

Robert Edward Hook, Jr. was born in Elvaton, MD on May 25, 1937 to the late Robert E. Hook, Sr. and Gladys Virginia Schwartz Hook and has lived his entire life in northern Anne Arundel County. A graduate of Glen Burnie High School, Mr. Hook proudly served in the U.S. Army from 1960-1962. A hard working man, he was an electrician at SCM Chemicals during his working life. In his spare time he enjoyed hunting, fishing, yearly family camping trips to Ocean City. But the center of his life was his family. They describe him as a "great father, grandfather and great-grandfather and a man you could always depend on."

Left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife of 60 years, Betty Jane Parrish Hook, son Robert E. Hook, 3rd of Brooklyn Park, daughters Sherry Floer and her husband Darwin of Glen Burnie, Lisa Dinko and her husband Daniel of Davidsonville and Sandra Hook of Glen Burnie. He is also survived by brother Ronnie Hook of Elvation and sisters Janet Mills of Glen Burnie and Nancy Hart of Elvaton. Robert is also survived by 9 cherished grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. He passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on December 10.
