Robert Lee Slater

June 9, 1942 — January 27, 2017

Robert Lee Slater was born June 9, 1942 in Baltimore, MD to the late Frederick William and Mildred Slater (nee Burdett) and is a lifetime resident of Anne Arundel County. A 1964 graduate of the University of Baltimore he worked as a director of human resources. He was a member Brooklyn Park United Meth. Ch.

His social life revolved around his family. He enjoyed dining out, discussing politics and was known to have a million and one jokes and puns. His family said he "communicated with touch." In addition to his parents, Bob is preceded in death by a grandson, Daniel Adams. He is survived by his wife of 53 years Bonnie Lee Slater (nee Shaffer ) of Glen Burnie, son Steven Slater of Glen Burnie and his wife Judith and Daughter Cheryl Adams of Stevensville and her husband Dave. He is also survived by sisters Janice Wilson and Donna Maisel, both of Glen Burnie and cherished grandchildren David and Brandon Adams. Mr Slater passed away peacefully at Anne Arundel Medical Center in Annapolis on January 27.
