Robert Alan Williams, 45, Crownsville resident, died suddenly in his home on Thursday, January 25, 2024. Robert was born on June 18, 1978, in Baltimore, Maryland, to Charles Dwayne Williams and Cheryl Darlene (Arbogast) Williams. Robert graduated from Old Mill High School in 1996 and received his Bachelors degree in Computer Science from the University of Maryland College Park. He worked in Information Technology, most recently for a company specializing in cybersecurity. He was often found with a camera in his hand, taking pictures of nature, weddings, and at conventions he attended annually, including Dragon Con, Otakon, and Shore Leave. These photos and many others can be found on his Flickr account. He was a unique, proud nerd, who was kind, family oriented and generous, especially to animals. He was a member of the National Aquarium and an avid museum goer whose knowledge encompassed a wide-range of subjects from ancient history to cosmology to WWII battleships. You could often find him Monday nights having dinner at McGarvey's in Annapolis. He will be greatly missed by so many.
Robert is preceded in death by his parents, Charles Dwayne Williams and Cheryl Darlene (Arbogast) Williams and his brother, Kevin Williams. He is survived by his loving sister, Angela D. Williams of Salem, Massachusetts, many dear cousins, and a host of friends.
