Roger Eugene Harper, 69, Glen Burnie resident, died on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, under the care of the Baltimore Washington Medical Center. Roger was born on Friday, September 9, 1955, in the hills of West Virginia, to Mark Okey Harper and Pansy Annie (Blackwell) Harper. He was a diesel mechanic for the Ryder Company for many years. Roger was a very hard worker, blue collar, just like his family. He could fix a car, be an electrician and even a plumber, he was a "Jack of All Trades". He also enjoyed fishing, hunting and being outside.
Roger was preceded by his parents, Mark Okey and Pansy Annie (Blackwell) Harper and his daughter, Angel Marie Patrick. He is survived by his wife, Margaret Frances (Woodruff) Harper of Glen Burnie; his children, Donald Mark Harper of the Eastern Shore, Rebecca Ann Crouch of Kent Island, Kimberly Dawn Harper of the Eastern Shore, Joan Catherine Woodruff of Glen Burnie, Margaret Faith Sosa (Mario) of Glen Burnie, James Roger Harper of Glen Burnie and Holly Ann Harper of Arnold; his siblings, David Harper (betty) of West Virginia, Linda Quinn (James) of West Virginia, Connie Bishop of West Virginia, Bonnie Crouch of West Virginia and Delores Crouch of West Virginia; and grandfather of 10.
Family and friends may visit at the KIRKLEY RUDDICK FUNERAL HOME on Thursday, March 27th, 11am - 1pm. Funeral service, Thursday, March 27th, 1pm. Interment private.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations towards funeral expenses.
