Ronald Joseph Padden was born June 2, 1935 in Mt. Carmel, PA to the late Thomas Padden and Anna Shilock Padden. He was raised by Thomas Padden and Elsie Padden. A resident of Glen Burnie for 48 years, Mr. Padden was a retail store manager for several department stores as well as a forklift operator, retiring from Davidson Beauty Supplies. A Navy veteran, Ronald served aboard the USS Boston during the Korean Conflict. A member of St. Philip Neri Church, in earlier years he was also a member of the Ferndale Comm. Club and the Glen Burnie Moose Lodge. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing, bowling and playing cards. In addition to his parents, he is preceeded in death by brothers Walter and Thomas Padden and Robert Novitsky and a sister Savina Padden. Ron is survived by his wife of 56 Years Doris A. Padden (nee Cogan) and daughters Linda Ann Bates and her husband Clyde of Downingtown, PA and Charlene M. Calligan and her husband David Calligan, Sr. of Glen Burnie as well as Grandsons Scott Bates, Andrew C. Becker, 3rd, David Calligan, Jr. and Zachary Calligan. He is also survived by great-grandchildren David Cameron Calligan, Gemma Calligan, Alexa Bates, Logan Moore and Trinity Becker.
