Ronald Paul Smalley

July 2, 1942 — May 10, 2024

Ronald Paul Smalley was born July 2, 1942 in Neptune, New Jersey to the late Stimson and Ruth Evelyn Potter Smalley. He has lived in Glen Burnie for the past 50 years. Mr. Smalley received his Master’s Degree in Political Science from Indiana University and worked as an analyst for the National Security Agency during his working life. He was a member of Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church in Elvaton. Ronald was a stamp collector and enjoyed singing, he was a member of several choirs and also sang with the Arundel Singers.  In addition to his parents he is preceded by his sister Ruth Ann Stone. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 57 years Dorothy Jean Harmon Smalley, sons Paul Michael Smalley of Grand Rapids, MI (Dawn), and Stephen Dale Smalley of Columbia (Kellan), daughter Jeannine L. Smalley of Baltimore and cherished grandchildren Abigail, Aaron, Sarah, Levi, Elizabeth and Michael Smalley.

Family and friends may visit at the KIRKLEY RUDDICK FUNERAL HOME on Thursday,May16 from 4:00pm-7:00pm. Funeral service Friday, May 17, 2024, 10:00am at Glen Burnie United Methodist Church, Interment immediately following at Crestlawn Memorial Gardens.
