Ronald Paris Van Camp was born August 17, 1931 in Grantsville,West Virginia to the late Joseph Paris and Lelah Viola Van Camp. He was a longtime resident of Glen Burnie, a member of the Ferndale Community Club, American Legion, VFW, and the Elks Lodge . Mr. Van Camp retired in 1979 from the U.S. Coast Guard as a Chief Warrant Officer after over 30 years of service. In his spare time he was an avid reader and enjoyed fishing and hunting.
He is survived by his children Linda Pencarski, Lelah Baxter, William Ronald Van Camp, grandchildren Paula Newhouse, Nicholas Newhouse and wife Rachel, Courtney Pencarski, Amy McCarthy and husband Dan, Dylan Van Camp, great-grandchildren Brittany Sturm, Zoey Newhouse, Nicholas Newhouse, Alex Newhouse, Erica Stephenson and spouse Rachel, Megan Stephenson, Bradley Stephenson, Colby Stephenson and Alex McCarthy, great-great grandchildren Kyle Sturm and Annabelle Gattenby. He is also survived by his significant other Cheryl Lipscomb. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son Ronald Paris Van Camp, Jr. and 5 brothers. Mr. Van Camp passed away November 26, 2017 at Baltimore-Washington Medical Center.
A Celebration of life will be held 1-5pm, Sunday, December3, 2017 at the Ferndale Community Club, 15 5th ave. N. Glen Burnie, MD 21061.In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Fund.
