Ruby May Harding

January 17, 1941 — April 12, 2020

Linthicum Heights

Ruby May Harding was born January 17, 1941 at their home in Glen Burnie to the late Charles Henry Harding, Sr. and Leona Harding nee Wagner. Ms. Harding was a 52 year resident of Linthicum Heights. She was an active member of Harundale Presbyterian Church where she served as a treasurer, a trustee, a deacon and an Elder. She also taught Sunday School, belonged to bible study groups and Presbyterian Women, and was on the board of the Westminster House in Baltimore. She joined the Women's club of Linthicum and served as treasurer and on several committees. She was a Civitan and served as treasurer and on the board of OBI.

She graduated from Towson University with degrees in Education and Accounting. She was the first female department head at Locke Inc. where she worked for over 40 years. In her free time she enjoyed horseback riding, playing cards (especially pinochle) and Mahjong, attending the Meyerhoff and Hippodrome, spending time with her dogs, and traveling (especially her dream trips to Australia and the holy land).

The best words to describe Ruby are hard working, dependable, loyal, great sense of humor, and most of all generous and giving.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother Charles "Chick" Henry Harding, Jr. Left to cherish her memory are her sister Carole Harding, sister-in-law Marie Harding, nephew David Harding(Melissa), great-niece Kalista Harding, and great nephews Camden and Remington Harding. Ruby was blessed with four loving god-children and many life-long friends.

Ms. Harding passed away April 12, 2020 at her home. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. A memorial service will be held at Harundale Presbyterian Church at a later date. Special thanks to HPC and Stephens Ministers and Hospice of the Chesapeake for their love and support.
