Russell M. Frye, Jr. was born February 3, 1937 in Baltimore, MD to the late Russell M. Frye, Jr. and Edna Graff Zairowski. He was a resident of Dagsboro, DE for 25 years after living for many years in Glen Burnie. Mr. Frye proudly served in the Army during the Korean Conflict. During his working career, he was a quality appraiser for Western Electric.
Russell was a Past Commander of American Legion Post #40 SAL in Glen Burnie and a Past Commander of American Legion Post #24 in Dagsboro. He was also active in the Fraternal Order of the Eagles and was a longtime coach with the Rebels Football Organization. He enjoyed crabbing, watching old movies and he was an avid Ravens fan.
In addition to his parents he is preceded by his loving wife Joan C. Pederson Frye. Left to cherish his memory are children Russell M. Frye, III of Laurel, Douglas Frye of Glen Burnie, Richard Frye of Pasadena Kathleen Verrette of Westminster and Joan Frye of Delaware. Mr. Frye is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren. He passed away peacefully at Atlantic General Hospital in Berlin.
