Ruth M. Baker

Ruth M. Baker passed away on September 28, 2015 in Ocean Pines, Maryland. Born in Baltimore, Maryland to the late Ed and Sally (Knisley) Pruitt on August 15, 1927. Ruth was a meat cutter for Esskay during her working years. She was a member of the American Legion Post 40 Ladies Auxiliary. Ruth enjoyed gardening, traveling, dancing but especially loved caring for her home and family. She is survived by her sons, Ronald Lee Baker of Glen Burnie, Lee W. Baker, Jr. of Ocean Pines;grandchildren, Chad Baker, Megan Baker; great grandchildren, Kayden Baker, Ridgly and Ryan Baker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Leo W. Baker, Sr.; brothers, Harold Pruitt, Ardie Pruitt; sisters, Thelma Pruitt and Pauline Pruitt. Friends and family may call at the family owned Kirkley-Ruddick Funeral Home, P.A. on Thursday, October 1, 2015 from 3-5 & 7-9 P.M. Funeral Services to be held at the funeral home on Friday the 2nd at 11:00 A.M. Interment in Glen Haven Memorial Park to follow service.
