Sammie Sue White

Born Sammie Sue Altizer on September 18, 1953 in West Virginia to Patricia Altizer of Jessup and the late Orvie Altizer. She has lived in the Jessup area for over 30 years after returning from Florida. A hairdresser by profession, Sammie was a member of AARP as well as Heritage Community Church. In her spare time she enjoyed reading, animals, shopping and was described by her family as being a great organizer. She passed away peacefully at the University of MD Medical System after suffering with lung problems for the past year. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her daughter Tara L. Adams of Glen Burnie as well as sisters Linda Ackley of Jessup, Glenda Herald of West Virginia, Brenda Miller of Jessup, brothers Ovie Altizer, Jr. of Pasadena and Allen Altizer of Jessup. She is also survived by 13 nieces and nephews and 7 great-nieces and nephews.
