Born Sharon Lee Grafton in Baltimore, MD on July 27, 1947 to the late John and Mary Young Grafton. Sharon was a lifetime resident of the Glen Burnie and Pasadena area. She worked for Anne Arundel County as a permit processor for many years prior to her retirement. In her younger days she was a drag racer. She enjoyed playing the slot machines and cherished time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she is preceded by her late husband Charles Hinkle, Sr., sons Timothy and Charles Hinkle, Jr., brothers Robert and John Grafton, Jr., sister Sophie Booth as well as two stepsons and two steps daughters. Left to cherish her memory are her daughter Tammy Hinkle of Pasadena, sister Violet Gumpman of Glen Burnie, granddaughter Aimee Petty, great-grandchildren Ryan Peeples and Landan Wieciech, special granddaughter and her namesake Sharon Pooley. She is also survived by her longtime companion Allen Fitzgerald, best friend and daughter in law Norma Hinkle and many other grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by family on May 22, 2023
