Shirley Jean Perry

Shirley Jean Perry was born on Tuesday, May 22, 1934, in Willoughby, Ohio to Clara Thelma (Roush) Page and Lawrence Avery Page. She married her high school sweetheart, Robert Bruce Perry, on June 7, 1952. Shirley was a wonderful homemaker and had many talents including: decorating, sewing, crocheting, cooking, baking, painting, and creating flower arrangements and wreaths for every season. Shirley was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother (better known as Mama), great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. She is preceded in death by her parents Thelma and Lawrence, brother, Thomas Avery Page, and daughter, Pamela Jean (Perry) Gates.

She is survived by her husband of 70 years, daughter Lynne Marie (Perry) Whittington and her husband, Arthur Hurst Whittington III, 4 grandchildren, Jeremy Gates, Michele Newland, Sherry Edwards, and Cameron Whittington, 8 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. Her love for her family and her caring manner will be greatly missed by everyone.

Family and friends may call at the KIRKLEY-RUDDICK FUNERAL HOME on Thursday, 1-3pm and 5-7pm. Funeral service, Friday 11am at the funeral home. Interment private.
