Stanley E. Mefford, Jr.

Stanley E. Mefford, Jr., a longtime resident of Glen Burnie, Maryland, passed away on March 20, 2026, at the age of 69, at Complete Care Severna Park. He was surrounded by his mother and brother at the time of his passing.

Born on July 31, 1956, in Ft. Meade, Maryland, Stanley was the son of Stanley E. Mefford, Sr. and Vincenta D. (Lanasa) Mefford. He graduated from Glen Burnie High School with the Class of 1974. Following his education, he honorably served his country by joining the Army. After his discharge, Stanley embarked on a long and dedicated career at Giant, where he was employed as their Lieutenant of Security for over 30 years.

Stanley was a devoted member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, where he attended services with his family. In his free time, he enjoyed reading, with a particular love for science fiction, and spent many hours pursuing his passion for putting together model cars.

Stanley is preceded by his father, Stanley E. Mefford, Sr. He is survived by his loving mother, Vincenta D. (Lanasa) Mefford of Glen Burnie; and his brother, Michael A. Mefford of Glen Burnie. He will be deeply missed by his family and all who knew him.

Family and friends may visit at the KIRKLEY RUDDICK FUNERAL HOME on Wednesday, 3-5pm and 7-9pm. Funeral service will be on Thursday, 12pm, Noon, at the funeral home. Interment Glen Haven Memorial Park following the service.
