Steven Johansen Sr.

On December 29, 2012, Steven Johansen Sr. passed away at home. He was 87. Born in New York, Steven lived on the Eastern Shore for the past 30 years, and in Glen Burnie prior to that. Steve served in the Merchant Marines and was a member of the United States Navy. He was a self-employed carpenter and belonged to the Carpenters? Union #101. Beloved husband of 63 years to the late Arline M. Johansen (nee Weiland); Devoted father of Stephanie Fessler of Ridgely, Steven Jr. of Florida and the late Mark Johansen; Cherished grandfather of three and great-grandfather of two; Caring brother-in-law of Carl and Pat Weiland of Pasadena. Steven belonged to the Elks Lodge and VFW in Ocean City, the Moose Lodge is Grasonville and the American Legion. He enjoyed fishing and crabbing.
