Sylvia Ann Mcgonigal

She was born Sylvia Ann Williams in Pennsylvania on September 25, 1939 to the late Stanley Q. and Merle Irene Ratzman Williams. She was a resident of Glen Burnie for over 30 years. Mrs. McGonigal was a nursing assistant and unit clerk at Baltimore Washington Medical Center for over 25 years prior to her retirement. Sylvia enjoyed crochet, dancing, watching old TV shows like Perry Mason but the center of her life was the time spent with grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents she is preceded by her son Kenneth James McGonigal, daughter Patty Ann McGonigal and brother John Williams. Left to cherish her memory are her daughter Diana Lynn Smith Hopkins (Mike) of Glen Burnie, brothers Stanley Williams (Darlene) of Glen Burnie, Edward Williams (Anita) and Evan Williams (Cindy) both of PA, sisters Elzabeth Sewell of Annapolis, Yvonne Beard (John) of VA,  sister in law Patsy Williams of Essex, grandchildren Chelsey Michelle Hopkins, Dawn Marie McGonigal and Dale Lee Smith (Lela) as well as 9 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. She passed away peacefully at Medstar Harbor Hospital after being in declining health for some time.
