Teddi Sullivan

On December 16, 2021, at 7:10pm, Garnett Ann “Teddi” Sullivan was taken from us to be with our Lord. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend.  Teddi will be sorely missed from this earth. She suffered from a severe cardiac condition, that offered no hope of intervention, and finally took its toll.  Fortunately, she went peacefully. We were blessed to keep her with us for eight months. She showed resilience after a fall in 2020.  This resulted in a fractured right humerus and wrist. Shortly after the fall, she contracted COVID-19. She recovered well from both only to be struck down by her heart, something she openly offered.

Teddi was born on Oakwood Road, Glen Burnie, MD, in the house she grew up in, on April 8, 1936, to Elsie and Clifford Irwin. She grew up in meager means but was surrounded by family. She graduated from Glen Burnie High School in 1951 and considered going to college. She did successfully complete cosmetology school and enjoyed her vocation as a beautician. She held other positions including working for Sunny’s Surplus, the Jessup prison, Carl Lowery’s Glass Company, the State of Maryland, the Maryland Board of Elections, and Koch Homes. She also was a full time Mom and our biggest sports supporter.

She is survived by her three sons; Lenny, Steve, and Kevin, five grandchildren; Desirae (Cole), Reece, Jeremy, Eamon and Kerry, one great granddaughter, Teagan Cole. She is survived by two siblings, Charles and Cheryl Sheckells.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Sullivan, Sr

The visitation is scheduled for December 26, 2021, at 3-5pm and 7-9pm. The funeral service is scheduled for December 27, 2021, at 10am. Both will be held at Kirkley-Ruddick funeral home.
