Thelma C. Thompson

July 14, 1919 — April 10, 2018

Born Thelma Clayton was born on July 14, 1919 in Elkridge, MD to the late John O. and Myra Earp Clayton and grew up in the area. She was a homemaker and an active member of Faith Bible Church where she sang in the choir. She enjoyed caring for her home, gardening, painting and cherished time spent with her family.  Her family stated that "faith, home and family" were the cornerstones of her life. In addition to her parents Mrs. Thompson was preceded in death by her beloved husband Arthur R. Thompson and her son Timothy C. Thompson. She is survived by her loving sons Arthur R. Thompson, 3rd of Kinston, NC, Richard E. Thompson of Linthicum and John K. Thompson of Aberdeen, her sister Jean Cosgrove of PA, grandchildren Rob, Daniel and David Thompson as well as great-grandchildren Jonah Eric and Chelsea Faith Thompson. Mrs. Thompson passed away peacefully in the Seasons Hospice unit at Sinai Hospital following a brief illness at the age of 98 years old.
