Theodore C. Schmidt

Theodore C. "Ted" Schmidt was born in Baltimore, MD on January 4, 1926 to the late John G. and Edith Anna Schmidt (nee Hudnet). A resident of Glen Burnie for over 60 years, Mr. Schmidt worked as a sheet metal worker until his retirement. He proudly served in the Army during the Korean Conflict. Ted was a member of the VFW and American Legion Post #277. He enjoyed Westerns, Big Band Music and he was described by his family as a people person who was always making new friends. He is survived by his sister Ella Schmidt Kendall of Georgia and brother Johny Schmidt of Florida as well as many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents Mr. Schmidt was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 55 years Lena Della Schmidt (nee Ellington).  He passed away peacefully at the Rebecca Fortney Inpatient Care Center of Hospice of the Chesapeake after being in declining health for several years.
