On January 28, 2009, Troy Lawrence McCumber of Brooklyn Park passed away from natural causes at Harbor Hospital. Born on February 25, 1921 in Fairmont, West Virginia, Troy lived in Brooklyn Park since 1956. Devoted husband of 64 years to Vivian P. McCumber; Beloved father of Janet Brammer and husband Barnabus of Pennsylvania, Linda Fefel of Ferndale and her late husband George and the late James and his wife, Pat McCumber; Caring brother of Lloyd McCumber of Baltimore, Floyd McCumber of Baltimore, Garnet Music of Aberdeen, Ivy Deall of Colorado and the late Sylvie Tichner, Lucille Miller, Irene Sefferth and Lona Seymoure; Cherished grandfather of seven and great-grandfather of six. He is also predeceased by his parents, Gordon and Edith McCumber.
Troy worked as a machinist for Crown, Cork & Seal for 19 years and then for Westinghouse where he retired after 30 years. He enjoyed camping, working on cars, going to flea markets and watching TV. Troy especially loved to spend time with his family and his cat Katie.
