Tyrone "Ty" Philip
Isaac
May 27, 1961 – February 26, 2026
Tyrone Philip “Ty” Isaac, a lifelong resident of Brooklyn Park, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, February 26, 2026, at Franklin Square Hospital at the age of 64.
Born on May 27, 1961, in Baltimore, Maryland, Ty was the beloved son of Tyrone Woodrow Isaac and Patricia Ann (Van Kirk) Isaac. He graduated from Brooklyn Park High School in 1979 and embarked on a diverse professional journey, serving in multiple managerial roles. He concluded his career at the Maryland Motor Vehicle Administration (MVA) in Glen Burnie.
Ty was a true sports fanatic whose passion for baseball and football was infectious. If you had a sports question, he had the answer. He was an avid supporter of his hometown teams, the Baltimore Colts, Orioles, and Ravens. And not to forget his love for the Fighting Irish! He loved to compete, running his own beloved Fantasy Football League, and was a dedicated collector of sports memorabilia and comic books.
His commitment to his community and family shone through his dedication to local youth sports. Years ago, Ty served as a respected Little League Coach, Umpire, President of the Brooklyn Park Youth Athletic Association (BPYAA) and a PTA President. He also was the Bingo Caller for the annual Bingo at his church. (St John Lutheran Church in Brooklyn)
Affectionately known as “Mr. Christmas” for his love of the holiday season. He loved to hunt for the most impossible gift to find. Whether it was a Cabbage Patch Doll, or Tickle Me Elmo, he was sure not to come up short. Ty was simply a very nice guy who was fun to be around. He loved game nights with family and cousins. Above all else, he loved his wife, children, dogs Harley and Sulley, and family deeply. (And his boo, Phyllis). He leaves behind a legacy of love and commitment.
Ty was preceded in death by his father, Tyrone Woodrow Isaac, and brother-in-law, John Warren Martin. He is survived by his mother, Patricia Ann (Van Kirk) Isaac of Brooklyn Park; his wife of 44 years, Sandra Kay (Martin) Isaac of Brooklyn Park; his children, Steven Christopher Isaac of Brooklyn Park, and Lauren Ashley Isaac of Baltimore; his sister, Terri Patricia Collett (Jeff Goode) of Brooklyn Park; sister in law Gail Martin of Stewartstown, Pennsylvania; brother-in-law Steve Duane Martin (Donna Martin) from New Market, Tennessee; his nieces and nephews, Chentel, Stacy, Alena, Jessica, Bo, Johnny, Garrett, Brett and Lacey and a host of extended family and numerous friends.
Family and friends may visit at the KIRKLEY RUDDICK FUNERAL HOME, on Tuesday, March 3rd. Funeral Service 4pm, Tuesday March 3rd. All who wish to attend are welcome. Visitation to follow immediately after the service until 8pm. Due to Ty’s love of sports, please feel free to wear your favorite sports attire.
