Valerie Mayer

Born Valerie Richmond on May 8, 1955 in LaJola, CA to the late Joe and Patricia Richmond (nee Greene). She grew up in California, leaving in her twenties and living in the Glen Burnie area for many years. She has lived in Virginia for the past 16 years where she worked as a radio station manager in Winchester, VA. In her spare time, Valerie enjoyed gardening, shopping, feeding the birds and ducks on her property, but she most treasured time spent with family. In addition to her parents, she is preceeded in death by her sister Rebecca Champion. She is survived by her husband Mark Mayer of Winchester, her son Matthew Reynolds who recently moved to Texas, her brother Mike Richmond of Pasadena, MD and sisters Cynthia Pohlman of Linthicum and Melinda Donnelly of Brooklyn Park. She passed away after a brief but courageous battle with cancer.
