Vicenta Velazquez Poulson, better known as Vickie by her friends and family, passed away on the 1st of April 2015 at the age of 79. She would have celebrated her 80th Birthday on Easter Sunday. Vickie was born on April 5,1935 to the late Rosario and Ramona Arce Velazquez in Posadas, Misiones, Argentina. She moved from Argentina to Baltimore in 1959 and continued her career in Surgical Nursing. She retired from Johns Hopkins Hospital in 2008 after 42 plus years of loyal service. When she was not working at Hopkins, Vickie kept herself busy with a variety of hobbies. She loved watching the Spanish Channel on TV while relaxing at home. She always enjoyed eating a traditional meal that reminded her of Argentina and occasionally, would drink a nice glass of red wine. She had sung in the Church Choir, and for years, sold Mary Kay Cosmetics in her spare time. Vickie loved to shop and will be remembered as a true fashionista. She was always able to put together a stylish outfit with jewelry, shoes and flattering hairstyle to match. She is preceded by her parents Rosario and Ramona, her husband Montell Poulson and son Luis Alfredo Coceres. Vickie is survived by her son, Guillermo Coceres and her sisters Feliza V. Coceres, Maximina V. Andrada and Angelica V. Martinez. Vickie was also a loving grandmother and great grandmother. Her beautiful smile and the sound of her laughter would always light up a room. Vickie, you will most certainly be missed by many ~
