Viola G. Comegys

On November 6, 2011, Viola G. Comegys (nee Reheard) passed away at the age of 100. Born in York, Pennsylvania, Viola was a long-term resident of Linthicum. Beloved wife of the late Louis C. Comegys and the late Chester Dettinger; Loving mother of Velma G. Dill (nee Dettinger) of Linthicum; Cherished grandmother of 4, great-grandmother of 11 and great-great-grandmother of 6. She was predeceased by three sisters, five brothers, one grandchild and one great-grandchild and her poodle Gidget. Viola worked for BG&E and 37 years before retiring. She was an active member of St. John Lutheran Church. She belonged to the Eastern Star #85 and the Order of the Amaranth #18. Viola enjoyed sewing, baking and gardening. She volunteered for Meals On Wheels and enjoyed spending time with her church sewing circle. Most especially, she loved spending time with her family, her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
