Walter David Clark, Sr., 88, Glen Burnie resident, passed away peacefully in Lorien Taneytown, surrounded by his family. David was born in Baltimore City, Maryland on Saturday, April 21, 1934, to Walter Luther Clark and Anna J. (Smith) Clark. After graduation, he served with the reserves, he was a member of the Elks and was part owner of Rennie and Clark Towing, in Glen Burnie. David loved to go fishing and loved watching the Orioles when he wasn’t working. He raced cars in the late 50’s and early 60’s at racetracks throughout Maryland, until his family and responsibilities grew bigger. Later, he could be seen walking the neighborhood and/or the mall every day. He will be greatly missed.
David is preceded by his parents, Walter Luther Clark and Anna J. (Smith) Clark; his wife, Constance C. (Sykora); his son, Douglas E. Clark. He is survived by his children, Walter D. Clark, Jr. (Betty) of Pasadena, Gerard A. Clark (Patricia) of Finksburg and Diane Biller (Michael) of Taneytown; his sister, Juanita Haddaway (Paul) of Easton; 9 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
Family and friends may call at the KIRKLEY RUDDICK FUNERAL HOME on Thursday, 3 - 5pm and 7 – 9pm. Funeral Service will be on Friday, 10:30am, at the funeral home. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in his memory to St. Jude Children's Hospital; www.stjude.org.
