Walter L. Thomas

Walter L. Thomas, a resident of Glen Burnie, passed away on September 11, 2016.  Born in Littlestown, PA to the late Walter Lewis Thomas and the late Emma Virginia Grape (nee Wood).  Walter was a Stationary Engineer during his working years and was a member of the Rifle Club.  He like hunting and fishing but most of his enjoyment came from spending time with his family.  Walter is survived by his wife of 68 years, Shirley R. Thomas (nee Warfield) of Glen Burnie; daughters, Sharon L. Thomas Sutherland of Oakland, Cynthia L. Horn-Kutlik of Baldwin; brother, Richard Grape of Westminster; 5 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Kipp L. Harman; brothers, William Grape, George Grape and sister, Ladene Hoffman.


A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, October 15, 2016 11:00 A.M.  at the Glen Burnie United Methodist Church.  A luncheon will follow the service.
