Wayne Boyd Allen

Wayne Boyd Allen was born January 3, 1946 in Baltimore, MD to the late Clarence Joseph and Arnette Laverne Porstman Allen. He was a resident of Ocean Pines for the past 29 years after moving from Glen Burnie. Mr. Allen was a retired auto worker at the General Motors assembly plant in Baltimore.  He was a member of the United Auto Workers and was a longtime member of Glen Lutheran Church and a charter member of Majesty Lutheran Church.  He always enjoyed working with wood and built several houses  and established Wayne Allen Contracting in Ocean Pines where he would update and rehab. condos in Ocean City. He was a lifetime learner who passed on what he learned to his family. He built model cars, was interested in gold and silver and was known to sing hymns so everyone knew he was there.  However the center of his life was his family and he treasured time spent with them. In addition to his parents Wayne is preceded by his son Eric B. Allen and a grandson. Left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife of 58 years Aleta Joy Long Allen, daughters Jill B. Rudiger (Rick) and Alycia Joy Lebo (Carl), daughter in law Krista Allen, brother Joseph P. Allen, sister Darlene R. McCormick as well as 12 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.

Family and friends may visit at the KIRKLEY RUDDICK FUNERAL HOME on Thursday, April 18 from 2:00pm-4:00pm and 6:00pm-8:00pm. Funeral service Friday, April 19, 2024, 11:00am at Kirkley Ruddick Funeral Home. Interment Private
