William Dorsey passed away on August 3, 2019 at home surrounded by those who loved him. He was born January 11, 1928 to the late William and Helen Gyorfi in Cleveland, Ohio. Mr. Dorsey joined the merchant marines at the young age of 16, and then re-enlisted to the coast guard, following the coast guard he enlisted with the army, and then the marines in which he fought in the Korean War and was part of the chosen frozen. Following his extensive military service he went on to work as a pipe fitter with Bethlehem Steel for 43 years.
He liked to keep busy doing home improvements and gardening. However his favorite time was spent with his children and grandchildren. He had a great sense of humor and loved to joke or give sarcastic remarks.In addition to his parents Mr. Dorsey was preceded in death by the love of his life: his wife Nancy Dorsey, his brother John Gyorfi, and his daughter Deborah "Debbie" Dorsey. Left to cherish his memory is "his heart" daughter Leah Dorsey and her fiance Kenneth Miller, 4 grandchildren Mary Delaney, Richard Malczewski III, Ronan Miller, Mason Miller, and his would be son in law Ronald Phelps. He will be sorely missed by everyone who knew him.
