William T. Finley, Sr. was born January 27, 1956 in Baltimore, MD to the late Joseph Andrew and Virginia DeLaushmutt Finley and was a resident of Carvel Beach for the past 32 years. Bill worked as a foreman with the Anne Arundel County Dept. of Utilities for over 30 years and it was said by his family there was not a road in the county he had not surveyed, driven on or repaired. He loved living near the water and enjoyed boating, fishing and crabbing in his spare time. Bill loved entertaining whether it be a cook out, a crab feast, a band practice or just spending time out by the pool. He coached little league for over 10 years while his sons were playing.  He treasured time spent with his wife Kathi working in the yard, tending their gardens, and cozying up by the fireplace in the winter months. Bill was a big man with a gentle soul. In addition to his parents he is preceded by his beloved wife Kathi L. “Kitty” Daugherty Finley and his son Aaron Joseph Finley. Left to cherish his memory are his son William T. Finley, Jr. of Halethorpe, brother Joseph A. Finley of Pasdena and Michael R. Finley of Rehobeth Beach, DE and sister Ginny Stein of Linthicum. Mr. Finley passed away unexpectedly and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
