William Roy Turner

William Roy Turner was born May 21, 1952 in Ft. Campbell, Kentucky. He has lived in the Halethorpe area for many years. He served briefly in the Air Force and is a member of American Legion Post #195. He also belongs to the Arbutus Social Club and the Street Survivors Classic Car Club. He worked for the Motor Vehicle Administration for over 25 years as the Director of Finance. In his spare time he enjoyed Fishing, Antique Cars, Coaching Sports and spending time with his grandchildren who were the apples of his eye. He is survived by his parents Noah Crum and Helen G. Crum (nee Marsh) of Halethorpe, his wife Mary R. Turner (nee Smith) of Halethorpe, children Michael S., Jennifer M. and Jessica L. Turner all of Halethorpe, sister Patricia Harmel of Manchester, MD and his grandchildren Dylan A. Marion and Madison M. Greene. He passed away peacefully at Hopkins Bayview Medical Center after suffering a stroke two weeks ago. Bill will be greatly missed by his family and many friends.
