William J. Twele

William J. Twele was born March 29, 1935 in Baltimore, MD to the late Frederick William and Mary E. Gallagher Twele and was a resident of Glen Burnie for over 60 years. He proudly served in the Army during the Korean War and the Viet Nam Conflict. Mr. Twele worked as a Highway Engineer for the Maryland Highway Administration for over 40 years. He enjoyed playing golf and was an avid Orioles and Ravens fan. He and his wife enjoyed dancing. He enjoyed painting and was a talented woodworker. In addition to his parents, he is preceded by his beloved wife Andrea L. Wright Twele. Left to cherish his memory are his children William J. Twele, Jr. of Myrtle Beach, SC. Todd E. Twele of Queenstown, John K. Schmidt of Hanover and Lisa M. Asmussen of Martinsburg, WV, his sister Dorothy L. Culver of Delaware, 10 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren with one on the way. He passed away peacefully at Harmony Assisted Living in Martinsburg, WV on August 27, 2023.
